I heard the same crap for ALL STATES and I passed with a car that is FAR from stock. With a good running Z and a proper tune, there are ways to work around it. 1 ) You can play around with the a/f mixture
2 ) Run a fuel additive
3 ) Run a high flow cat
4 ) Depending on if you fail from low speed or high speed - manipulate the ignition timing with a conzult Have you physically tried any of these ? I have. Not saying all these will work ~ it depends on why the car fails in the first place. You made the original point "You live in G.G. so you will have to put the main cats on to pass smog " that is what I disagree with. I don't see what is the big deal. Getting hi-flow cats on the Labree Ulitmates does not defeat the purpose. You know nothing of the design or the dimensions or the angles / bends in the set up as compared to stock or upgraded exhaust systems. I do ~ I have researched it.
